Your personal notes, read by your own assistant only
A private Obsidian vault or notes repository, connected to the assistant you use, and to nobody else’s.
Who it’s for: Anyone who keeps notes in Markdown and wants their own assistant to work with them.
Notes you already keep
If you write in Obsidian or any other Markdown editor and sync through Git, your notes are already in the format Notedigit reads.
Only you are assigned
Access is granted per user, per repository. Assign your personal repository to your own account, and no one else’s assistant can read it, even on the same Notedigit instance.
On your own server
Notedigit runs on your VPS. It clones the repository when your assistant starts reading and deletes the clone after 15 minutes without activity. Nothing is sent to us.
How to structure the repository
- Daily notes with the date in the file name make it easy to ask about a particular week.
- Short notes with descriptive titles are easier to find than long ones, because search matches titles as well as content.
- You do not need to reorganise anything: an existing Obsidian vault works as it is.
Setting it up
-
Step 1: Push your vault or notes folder to a private repository on your git host. The Obsidian Git community plugin can do this automatically.
-
Step 2: Connect the repository in Notedigit and assign it to yourself only.
-
Step 3: Add the endpoint to your assistant as a custom connector and sign in.
